CodeClan week -10
This week is the career advice week, before I summaries my week, I could like to share one secret with all my readers, a few weeks ago, I went to a meetup and had a conversation with one of the senior developer who previously hired CodeClan graduates, and I asked him about why or what made him decide to hire CodeClan graduates, and he told me that he just felt CodeClan graduates were very confident and seem to know the answers to every question that was asked, and for the past few weeks I kept asking myself what did he mean and finally this week it all became clear.
This week we spent the entire week going through how to prepare for a successful tech interview, it covered from refactoring CV, setting up a LinkedIn profile, practising mock interview… for me, all of the little tasks together unveiled the ‘mysterious’ tech interview processes and having someone that has a deep understanding of the industry going through it with me, really made me felt confident to approach and to prepare for an interview.
Having spent an entire week focusing from a career perspective, brought a different dimension to the course, it inspired me to think about improve myself as a brand and be confident about it.
If there is one thing I can take away from this week is that now I am very confident about how to plan to prepare a tech interview, and it all fitted in nicely with myself study plan too.
P.S
Monday the 18th of June is the Dragon-Boat Festival of China, to celebrate Chinese people make a traditional food Zongzi (粽子) (a link from Wikipedia for everyone interested about Zongzi. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zongzi ), it is my all-time favourite festival food, and I haven’t had it for years. This Saturday while I was refactoring my CV, my wife and my Mother-Law spent the whole day making Zongzi, and we had a Zongzi feast dinner, which made me feel so happy !!! and I just want to say I love you guys for your support, for your understanding, for everything.
