.Net Blazor ... an alternative to Angular and React
Blazor is the new hype for Web App development, bringing web development and cloud applications development to the .Net developer without the need for Javascript skills. An alternative to Angular and React.
But how real is this?
On Wednesday and Thursday this week Rod Hemphill will be discussing Melbourne App Development's experience in bringing the Motorsport Australia event entry system to production using Blazor.
This system has 54 razor pages, 52 database tables (not counting reference data), 90,000 lines of code, 2400 line of component code, 7600 lines of razor pages, and took 4 full time and 3 part-time developers 5 months to build. It is a large enough system to test the production readiness of Blazor.
He will cover:
- Razor: Creating Components and Pages
- User interface development: how we got started
- Coding standards
- Managing CSS
- Using MVC or MVVM?
- ServerSide vs Web Assembly
- Asynchronous or synchronous programming
- Using Entity Framework with Blazor
- How it relates to Xamarin Mobile development
This presentation is a part of the monthly Melbourne Blazor and Xamarin Meetup and will be presented twice to accomodate different timezones:
Wednesday 27th May 6:30pm Melbourne (+10) 1:30am (-7) 10:30am (+2)
