Crystal Clear by Beth Gail Geller
Have you ever asked yourself "WHY ME?"
Do you BELIEVE what has happened in your life is an "accident?"
Why do we meet the people in our lives?
Why are we placed in certain circumstances, and certain places?
You are not alone!
Answers? Yes! As always, I was the child who wanted to know how, when, where. what and why? Well, I did get the opportunities, of a lifetime, learning through many personal experiences, people, and stories!. Challenges? Yes, many! That is what often places us in positions that take us to places, unknown, unfamiliar, and those which draw us to experiences that even though, unplanned, and unexpected, turn out to be a place of opportunity, choice, and clarity! Some people turn to Religion, even those who are not truly religious! others pray and talk to loved ones, who have passed, and are now among the Angels in Heaven. Some seek knowledge and guidance through other sources such as Psychic's, Medium's, Clairvoyant's, and those with the ability to connect to a "higher" source.
I have also always loved meeting people, learning about their culture, life, and lifestyle, family history, and life experiences, During a time in my life where health challenges came to the forefront, I found myself unable to continue the lifestyle I was used to! Not happy about the diagnosis or prognosis, I did not know where to turn. To be quite honest, I was in a lot of pain, and had several Nurse's Aides take care of me, and take me to doctor's appointments, and therapies that were prescribed. I could not get out of bed, shower, wash, or do anything without help. I was not happy about not being able to be independent, and not being able to help my children, family and friends!
Although it took some time, I found myself introduced to many people, and doing what I'd never done before to help myself! However, with each obstacle, came a lesson and an opportunity to learn and grow! Most times I did not understand things that I was experiencing. It took some time, and repetitions that seemed endless. Days went into nights. Each day seemed the same! Little by little, when I was "ready, what I needed to know was revealed to me." There were uncomfortable situations. There were feelings and thoughts that I was not ready to share with anyone, that created "fear." Sessions with different therapists brought about creative therapists who listened, and seemed to understand me, with caring and compassion, and a desire, much like mine, "to help make a difference."
Many of us, face challenges. We experience and feel "over the top" stress, that create issues effecting our health and well being! Most of us are so busy between our family life, and careers, not to mention social life, that we do not think about "WHAT IF I were faced with ........ How would I cope, or get through such a challenge? Yes, that was exactly how it was for me, and many others I have met, and worked with over the years!
I believe we find ourselves in situations, challenges and experiences, that enable us to learn, grow and meet those who are to help us figure out, that which we are not able to, ourselves! Each, selected, to show us, share with us, and help us "put the puzzle pieces together! Whatever challenges are placed before each of us, at a particular moment in time, even though we may think it is by "accident, ", BELIEVE ME, "there are no accidents."
I was once told "Live each day, as if it were the last." Believe me, this is so true! I have come to appreciate and make the most of each day, each experience, and that which is placed in my life! I am so grateful foreach and every person I meet. Often it seems as if these people come along, as if by "Magic." I say "magic", because they seem to appear, at a particular time, as if they were "ordered up", specially, when they needed!
I give thanks for everything large and small! So many people, in so many places, do not have food, or a place to to rest, relax and restore. Being able to awaken, see the beauty of the change of seasons, beautiful blue skies, clouds, smell the fresh grass, aromas of the beauty of nature, flowers, and trees, is more than a blessing.
We take so much for granted! Most of us are blessed with 10 fingers and 10 toes! We learn from the time we are able to crawl, and at a very, tender age, that when we fall, we pick ourselves up, and starting all over again, until we are able to "stand on our own two feet." This is something I was given to experience, in my later years! Having come through so many challenges, personally, as well as those witnessed from family members and friends, my MISSION is to share and help others attain that which I have found helped them one many challenges life presents. I have re-gained STRENGTH, COURAGE, SUPPORT, and the ability to BELIEVE, and have FAITH, along with some other very important ingredients during these times in my life!
I remember, how challenging it was to take that first step, after being confined to a wheelchair for over 4 and a half years. It was exciting, at the same time, scary! I learned how thoughts and emotions can effect the physical. Some thoughts were:, What if I fall? What if, I am still not able to walk? What if, I am not able to attend mychildren's graduation's, soccer games, performances, and other special events that only come along once in a lifetime?
There were so many people who were so much a part of each challenge, cheering me on, giving me confidence that "I CAN DO IT!" Each person, praying and supporting me, while "asking for "A MIRACLE."
During these trying and challenging times, my family spent a great deal of time , trying everything and then some, to help me find that place within, that would ignite a spark of light; a smile, and something to laugh about!" They say, "laughter, is the best medicine." Mom and Sis prepared meals, brought goodies" that they hoped might help me in some way! Experiencing feelings within, when we share, and give it,is an "experience of a lifetime." However,"receiving", was a lesson, I needed to learn. Those of us who are used to "giving", can understand that in some cases, like mine, it is "easier" to give. It is the most fulfilling, joyous experience. The most amazing joy fills one's heart, from things such as a smile, hug, and a kind word. These do not cost anything to share! They are truly "priceless." Allowing others to experience the joy of giving, and being open to receive was another lesson I was to learn.
I come to you, sharing encouragement, inspiration, and empowerment that helped me in overcoming the many challenges in my lifetime. While these methods are not MEDICAL IN NATURE!, they have come to show me and others that there are many methods and ways that can help, and make a difference in our lives! For sure, things became "Crystal Clear!"
That which has inspired me, and empowered me, to be ALL I AM, and ALL I CAN BE! has brought me to wanting, even more, to share me to want to share all I have learned, and I have experienced. So many seeking guidance, and answers to questions and challenges in their lives, and in today's challenging times have come to me throughout the years!
One challenge that stands out, is not being able to hold a pen or pencil . I was not able to write those little hand written notes, that I used to put in my children's lunchboxes to remind them about how much I LOVE THEM! Notes to inspire and empower them during their day at school. With one hand "locked" tightly, much like a fist, and not being able to open it, there were many challenges, such as the ability to button one's blouse, cut food, wash, hug, turn a water faucet on and off, and so many other things!
So much to share, not enough time! The things I learned from some of these challenges are much too extensive to POST! However, my MISSION to share and to bring about an understanding and awareness, comes with compassion, caring, and a special understanding of everyone who comes into my life, and allows me to come into theirs!
Since we are unique; never duplicated!,each experience is different! Each of us make different choices! Each of us, may choose different paths, which may result in different outcomes! Each of us learn differently! Some learn through the beauty and power of "touch", something we learn at a very young age! Some learn through the gentleness of one's voice, and words. Others respond to the sense of aromas, feelings, thoughts, music, art, the and sometimes the sense of sight, allowing us to view the many beautiful visions that nature provides.
Growing up, I remember sitting on Grandma's lap, watching television, and listening to stories she shared. Some programs she liked to watch were what I would call "quite interesting." For sure, they were "Spiritual in nature." Perhaps one would think of such programs as even "Religious." Since Grandma was a mid-wife, it made sense that she might be "Spiritual." It seemed to make sense that she was interested in certain programs, relating to people seeking help, because of ill health! Some were seeking hope, and answers to their challenges, that were not found through conventional methods.
I found myself wanting to to know more. However, that which I learned, came from listening, and observing how people's health and lives changed as the result of the impact of joy, sadness, despair, stress, and so many other things. I observed those who learned through the written word, friend's, family, medical advice, and other sources.
It seemed that Grandma had remedies that were from natural sources, that worked for her , her friends, and family! These formulas, or recipes were used for many, many years, and passed down. Some were used through inhalation, applications such as compresses, and some taken internally! The results, amazing! My observation was that these people were helped to the point where they were able to return to their daily lives. As it is today, some situations are more complex, and take a longer time to figure out just what might help that person feel better! As I learned, in most cases, the emotional triggers, contributes to the physical.
I remember, while going for therapy, during my challenge from "the hit and run",, I was introduced to a woman, who was a Massage Therapist. The Massage Therapist I worked with, was going on a vacation. I was not happy, that someone else was going to work on me, as I was just beginning to "trust" this therapist. Since I really did not have a "say", I was going to have to allow her to take over.
I was told "things happen for a reason." Much like "when one door closes, another opens." I had many fears, having gone through many traumas. Aside from that, I had not ever had a massage! It was a "big deal" for me to come to the 'original" therapist for help! Just when I was beginning to feel "safe", and at "some ease", along came one of those "twists and turns", that would change how I felt, and what I was to experience."
I learned that "there are never any mistakes!" People placed in our lives, as strange as it seems, come in at the perfect time. She introduced herself, sharing a story that helped me feel that "I was not the only one, going through the "unexpected." During one of my visits, she explained that "she had a Grand Mal Seizure, that left her bedridden." She was used to being active, aside from the fact that she was an RN. As I looked at her rosy cheeks, and milk white skin, she looked pretty healthy to me!" She explained how ill she was, and how she had given up hope." One would think she would have certainly sought help in the "traditional sense". However, after not receiving answers, and help, she sought help through other sources.
Her story caught my attention, because of all she went through trying to get help. ! She told me how this took a toll on her life physically, emotionally, and financially, not to mention her family watching a woman who was so active, and independent, now not able to help herself!
She told me how she found out about something, unexpected, from a friend, that was about to change her life. It involved "alternative health." A friend shared a story about her husband who was going through some health challenges, that did not respond to conventional methods. She continued to say that while her friend told her that what her husband was going to "try" some alternative methods,he understood that this was not a cure, and not medical in nature. The history, in part, of what he chose to try, was because he had and heard stories of how people were helped in so many ways!
I must admit, I was fascinated, curious, and because of all I had gone through, and what I was going through, not knowing if all or any of the therapies would o would help, and what it would take for me to restore! I wanted to know more! After all, I was looking at a woman, in the medical profession, who looked nothing less than "the picture of health."
Yes, my life, and many others I've met, shared with , and observed, have faced health challenges they were not able to resolve through conventional methods. Through their desire to learn more, to help themselves and their loved ones, they trusted their instincts, and those who they were referred to contact me, read information provided through newsletters, CD's, and invitations to gatherings and special events.
It is my mission to "help make a difference." Some of this is accomplished by sharing stories, observations, and experiences. While my health was restored through "alternative therapies",
***It is important to remember how important to continue medication prescribed by one's doctor, and doctor's advice. The work I share is not medical in nature, and is not a cure! ******
My health and wellness was restored through "alternatives", the support and love from those who truly cared, and shared their experiences, which inspired and empowered me to regain hope, and the strength and courage to return to a state of health and well being!
As you might have wondered, if I am walking, and if this story has a HAPPY ENDING! , YES, I AM walking, and yes, there have been many "unexpected" challenges that have come into my life that I have overcome, and I continue to share with so many! Each with a lesson, and the ability to grow and share even more stories; in the effort to give hope, strength, courage, inspiration, and a knowing that "YOU ARE NEVER ALONE!"
Throughout many years , I have been blessed to have worked, share experiences and stories, and meet so many people, in the States and in Europe. Each experience and story having similarities, yet so many differences!
There is nobody like "you", and even though people say "I know", only you know how you feel, and what you are experiencing."

Our Dad worked for his Brother, and was the one who "talked to everyone" and loved people! He brought in all the business. He also carried the heavy bags of cement and tile.
