"Scents of The Season"
What is beneath, that which causes so many of us to feel " "Stressed", Depressed, and Run down? It may be, that in the Summertime, there is more sunlight, and we tend to spend more time outdoors!
It is easier to get around, to activities, celebrations, and special events! Lots of gatherings, seeing those we may not have been able to see for some time! Getting together with a friend or family member ! This allows us to recall, and remember good times, people who have shared, inspired, and empowered us. Memories that have left an indelible imprint on our hearts and souls. Each bringing about different feelings and emotions!
Summer brings about feelings of warmth, relaxation, time to restore, and rejuvenate!
In my experience, some aromas and scents, may trigger off memories of comfort, joy, family, and may even boost our immune system!
Throughout the years, I have shared stories and experiences with many, helping to make a difference!.
I have found "Lavender" (the Granddaddy of essential oils) to be helpful in creating a sense of calm, peace, and relaxation!! There are many applications including inhalation! One may consider adding a drop of essential oil to the bath water!
*When applying essential oils topically, it is important to use a "carrier oil" prior to application! These may include your personal choice such as Almond or Jojoba oil ! Each of us have those we have found to work "for us!
There are many choices, when it comes to relaxing, releasing, and restoring! They may include meditation, listening to music, guided imagery, walking, exercise, and many other modalities! When used in combination with "essential oils" it has been said to have helped some improve their health and well being!
Fall, brings about a feeling of "change". The scent of apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, and citrus have the ability to create an environment that is uplifting and one that may warm one's heart, bring back memories of childhood, and of the many delicious foods that were part of "happy times" in our lives!
Winter is a Season and a time that speaks to many of curling up in a comfortable chair, bed, or that which feels so good; reading a good book, having a warm bowl of oatmeal; a soothing cup of tea with honey, a cup of cocoa, pumpkin pie, the smell of fresh picked apples baked with cinnamon and spices, and sitting by a fireplace with it's ability to warm and speak to each of us in different ways!
It can be a time of discovery! Exploring, learning, and making new choices and decisions that may improve our health, well being and happiness!
With each season come different thoughts, feelings, emotions, and actions! Winter, because of it's nature may bring about feelings of joy, excitement, adventure, laughter, as well it may bring about feelings of stress, sadness, loneliness, exhaustion, feeling overwhelmed, and many other challenges! "
Some essential oils are inhaled by diffusing them in a cold air diffuser, in order not to break down the properties of pure essential oils! They may bring fresh oxygen to the brain and body, helping circulation, and even "igniting a spark " helping to recreate feelings of love, warmth, comfort, and take away those "Winter Blues",and so many other benefits, in a subtle, non-invasive way!
Remember,there is nobody like "you"!
There are many grades of essential oils. Some essential oils may be included in some of your favorite recipes this Holiday Season; making them truly "unique." ****Be sure the essential oils are those which may be able to be ingested! ****
