My Learning Journey: From Python Basics to Data Structures

Over the past two months, I’ve been on an exciting learning journey, actively participating in a Python Basics course conducted by my college. This program has been a wonderful starting point, giving me a strong foundation in the core concepts of programming.

During this time, I’ve learned:

  • Python Fundamentals: Functions, strings, conditional statements, loops, lists, tuples, and more. These essential building blocks have helped me gain the confidence to write simple programs and understand how code works behind the scenes.
  • Logical Thinking: I’ve learned how to break problems down into smaller parts and create solutions step by step—an important mindset for anyone entering the world of programming.

Over the last 10 days, I took things a step further by diving into Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA). So far, I’ve explored key topics like stacks, queues, arrays, and other foundational concepts that form the backbone of efficient coding. Each session adds depth to my understanding, and I’m excited to continue building a strong foundation in this area.

What makes this journey truly special for me is my background.Coming from a B.Com background, I had no prior exposure to coding. At first, programming felt intimidating. But with every concept I learned, I started to see coding as not just a technical skill, but a way of solving problems logically and creatively. This experience has been transformative. I’ve gone from having zero coding knowledge to writing programs, solving challenges, and approaching problems with a structured mindset.

I’ve realized that every small step in learning adds up to something big. I’m grateful for the guidance of my mentors, the supportive environment at my college, and the resources that have helped me along the way.

I’m now more motivated than ever to:

  • Keep exploring advanced DSA concepts 🔹 Build a stronger foundation in problem-solving
  • Work on real-world projects to apply what I’ve learned

This is just the beginning, and I’m excited to see where this journey leads!
