#100DaysOfK8s
It has been almost 30 days since I started 100 Days of Kubernetes challenge.
While I am nowhere near being ready to sit the Certified Kubernetes Administrator exam I have learned a lot.
This isn’t my first 100 Days of X challenge.
The first one was studying Spanish using the Duolingo app. I normally have spare 15-20 minutes a day when I walk to/from the station. That's more than enough for a few simple exercises. At first, I thought it would be just a daily memory practice task. Now I am on 150 days streak and I am pretty sure I will get my Spanish to intermediate level within a year. Learning Spanish turned into a good habit to start a day with.
Almost at the same time, I started #100Daysofcoding challenge. This was way more difficult than simple Duolingo exercises. While the challenge requires only 1 hour a day it was never enough as there is so much to learn, try and play with.
Currently, I am on the second round of the challenge and I can't thank enough myself for joining this challenge 130 days ago.
Once again, these 1-2 hours of coding every day became a natural habit. While I am working on my final project for CS50 course I am constantly thinking what my next project is going to be.
These two experiments proved that the 100 Days challenge is a really powerful tool for achieving your goals and acquiring new skills very quickly.
Therefore, I thought it would be a great idea to make #100DaysOfK8s challenge a bigger thing and created a web site that promotes the challenge - https://100daysofk8s.io
The web site contains the rules of the challenge, useful resources and hints on how to get the best results out of these 100 days.
I think it is the right time for many IT professionals to start a journey into a world of containers and containers orchestration, and #100DaysOfK8s challenge will help you stay committed and focused on your goal.
You always motivate me Askar! Keep raising the bar mate!
