Mini Project | Build a Mind Card Game. I created a classic card game using HTML, CSS & JS. Game ensures that no more cards will be able to get flipped when already two cards have been flipped, No UI breaks on multiple clicks to cards, implementation of a simple game logic using array and objects, have a button to reset the game state to Start the Game again, it also have a sound effect on clicking and when a element get matched. Game have Responsiveness to different screen sizes. While making it I got to know the extra and important CSS properties like :- 1. perspective and transform-style property :- used to give 3D depth and effect to cards. 2. backface-visibility property :- used to hide the back part of any image or coloured card. 3. pointer-events property :- used to make sure that a particular element doesn't listen to any type of events like clicks, hover, dragged etc. In context to JS, i learn :- 1. DOM manipulation :- controlling html and css dynamically using js. 2. Event Delegation :- a parent controlling it's children's event. 3. Event Handling. 4. JS Shorthands. 5. Building Logic. More features that can be added :- A button named "generate" can be added, that will generate a random pattern of these cards, so in every new game we will get a new pattern to play with. #HTML, #CSS, #JS

Did you know about 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐩()? 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐩()'s a method used in CSS that let's you set a range of values for a property of an element. Let's say you have a <𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫 /> and you want to set a minimum, maximum value and a sort of standard one for the width of the element. How'd you do it? There's 𝐦𝐢𝐧/𝐦𝐚𝐱-𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐭𝐡, right? Well, among many other options out there, you can use 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐦𝐩(). It takes three parameters: 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐦 width allowed, the 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐝 one and the 𝐦𝐚𝐱𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐦 width allowed. It's been a long time since I last used JavaScript for a project, so this summer I tried again, and this is the result: a simple puzzle game! 🧩🌸 What started as "let me refresh my JavaScript skills" turned into a full-featured interactive game with drag-and-drop mechanics,animations, and sakura theme. What I Built: - Drag & drop interface using HTML5 API - Custom animated victory modal (because winning deserves celebration!) - Random shuffle algorithm - Automatic win detection The Challenge: My biggest hurdle? Path resolution! The browser converts relative paths to absolute ones, so comparing image sources became tricky. After some debugging and console.log sessions, I learned to extract filenames for comparison instead of full paths. Tech Stack: Just the classics - HTML, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript. No frameworks, no libraries. Sometimes going back to basics is the best way to truly understand what's happening under the hood. What I Learned: - DOM manipulation is still super powerful - Event handling in pure JS is actually quite elegant - CSS animations can create amazing effects without JavaScript - Debugging skills never go out of style The best part?
