Understanding cloud semi-technically
At work, I interact with my community of development, technical product management, user experience designers, QA, technical writers, and DevOps. I also interact with coworkers across sales, functional product management, support, marketing, and consulting who are part of the IT industry.
I realize there's a need for greater cloud awareness among my community in IT industry, since Cloud as a term is still pristine. There are specialists who have expertise in one area but are always curious about the other areas.
This is my attempt of creating an easy to digest guide on understanding cloud without getting into a lot of history and how to get things done.
This is a 5 part series broken down into,
- Cloud is born
- Who offers Cloud
- What does a typical Cloud offer
- Cloud genres
- Challenges and opportunities of Cloud scale
