Sam’s DevOps Editors (Installers)

Sam’s DevOps Editors (Installers)

What is DevOps? Internet definition:

DevOps is the combination of cultural philosophies, practices, and tools that increases an organization's ability to deliver applications and services at high velocity, evolving and improving products at a faster pace than organizations using traditional software development and infrastructure management processes.

In a nutshell, DevOps is the teaming of infrastructure and development teams to speed the process of delivering applications and services for an institution.

What about teams or departments other than development?

The DevOps goal is to improve the communication and cooperation between the development and the infrastructure teams. Sadly, nothing is mentioned about the infrastructure needs for other departments' teams such as Sales, Marketing, Credit, Treasury, etc. These teams have web presences and run their customized software, tools and third-party software.

Our View of DevOps:

Anyone searching the internet for DevOps and DevOps Structure, will find out that there is no clearcut structure to create DevOps systems nor team(s). Not to mention, the lack of intelligence in all the proposed DevOps systems, teams’ tools and supporting software. Image #1 is a rough presentation of our DevOps system and DevOps structure.

Image #1 is composed of a number of levels or layers: the actual hardware (bare-metal) servers, our Intelligent DevOps layer, the Machine Learning layers, DevOps Editors and the top layer is the entire cloud and internal systems for an institution.

Bare-Metal (Actual Hardware):

The Actual Hardware (Bare-Metal) layer or level is the actual metal servers or the physical parts or hardware that exist and anyone can physically touch them. Each hardware server has its own registers, Cache memory, chips (including CPU), core memory plus all the hardware such as the motherboard, data bus and so on. For these physical servers to run, they need operating system, utilities software, supporting software and other software services. The actual cost of physical servers is a lot less than the software needed to run these servers and the annual software licenses cost.

Note:

Hardware can be hacked, stollen, damaged and it would also need physical security.

Our Intelligent DevOps Editors:

Our main objective of developing DevOps services which would free anyone including any department in a big corporation from dealing with the infrastructure requests, processes and ongoing (never ending) change-requests which are long and tedious. For example, if a PC or Laptop user can download a software (such as MS Outlook) installer and installs the software on his/her machine and starts using the software on the spot, then there should a DevOps Installer which would be able to perform the same tasks. These DevOps Installers we call them “DevOps Editors”.

The questions here would be:

• Can a DevOps Editor create an entire network system with all the security parameters and all the needed system scripts and utilities?

• Would the created system be ready to use in Realtime with no bugs or adjustments?

• Can a DevOps Editor help its users customize their needed networks to address their business?

• Would DevOps Editor be able to address the ongoing (never ending) change-requests?

• Would the user of DevOps Editors be able to create a testing system, production cloud system, internal networks, … etc.?

• Would the user of DevOps Editors be able to create users-interfaces, emails, third-party software, … etc.?

In short, our DevOps Editors would perform the infrastructure customized tasks intelligently and in real-time.

Image #2 is showing our Intelligent DevOps Editor - "Turn Key" markup or prototype with environment setup, management, documentation, Online Help, Tutorial and training, testing plus the default setting for business or a department. The following are Our Intelligent DevOps Editors which we have architected-designed and created prototypes for six DevOps Editors. We recommend that our viewers visit the following links and checkout each editor. https://sameldin.com/SamDevOpsEditorsPage.html

Intelligent DevOps Editor - "Turn Key":

Our Intelligent Editors would free the entire company and all its department plus they would be able to create any number of testing and production system on the run without any help from anyone including DevOps teams. For example, the personnel department would be able to create an entire production system including its cybersecurity as a test environment. Once their testing is done according to their needs, they would be able to move this testing environment to their production environment. All they need to do is: simply changing the production IP address to the newly tested system. They would be able to create any number of running systems and remove these environments with a push of a button.

Note:

These Editors are not the actual running systems, but the prototypes to present a view of our architect-design and for users to view what they would be using. There is tutorial and online training for the users to make them independent of any support or needs.

Our Intelligent DevOps Support (Infrastructure):

The goal of our DevOps department and teams is to inventory, build, test and make available systems for any department, teams, individuals, CEOs, … etc. and provide our Intelligent DevOps Editors.

These new systems would need Machine Learning and intelligence to support DevOps as intelligent automated virtual services.

Machine Learning (ML):

Our Machine Learning tools and services are the key in making DevOps intelligent automated virtual services. Our Machine Learning would be performing the analyst, programmers, testers and administrators’ jobs in fraction of milliseconds. Our ML would be updating and tracking Cybersecurity and system performance issues and address them in real-time.
