Qualified Junior Android Developer

I made it.

After several months of hard work, I am now a qualified Junior Android Developer with a Nanodegree from Udacity.

Not only that, I did it through a scholarship. Thank you Udacity - and thank you Google - for this amazing opportunity and for believing in me.

It's hard to believe that only six months ago I had never written a piece of Java or read the code to an app, let alone build one. Now, I have a portfolio of half-a-dozen apps and have practical experience of working with APIs and SQL databases.

The online community has been amazing. Not just my fellow scholarship students, but programmers across the world have been more than happy to help solve a problem, no matter how trivial. Becoming part of that community has been as exhilarating as my learning journey.

What's next? Well, I am already in touch with a local charity about building an app for their next event. I can't wait to put to use my new skill set.

If you're a small business or charity that has always wanted an Android app but don't quite have the budget to pay for one - why not get in touch?

We can help each other out!

Junior Android Developer - that's me.
