Personalization is Key

In today's hyper connected world, its easy to forget that we are all people. Each of us has our own unique needs and desires. There is, however, one universal desire and that is the desire to be recognized.

The process of communication has evolved to recognize people by clicking buttons and directing our mouse pointer to their Facebook or other social media page. Birthdays have become "happy birthday - lol" and great work has become a virtual pat on the back.  The art of a hand written note or card has been lost - long supplanted by email and a slew of other digital platforms.

Some may argue that this is the evolution of communication and this may be true, but digital communication is merely one communication tool and its not particularly good at conveying emotion.  The subtle art of hand written notes and good old fashion cards goes along way to strengthening relationships and building trust. It takes time to hand write a note and it takes even more time purchase a card, write something in it and put it in the mail. So why do it? The answer is simple, which card are you more likely to keep? The digital note, or the tangible hand-written note? The answer is clear!

Personalized notes and cards are highly coveted. They convey real emotion and they showcase your commitment to building on a relationship, moreover, they feel good to receive. If you haven't sent someone a card or written them a thank you note in awhile, I encourage you to do so. You will be amazed at the reaction you get.

Personalization is Key!
