Multi Tasking Risks In Project Management

Multitasking seems to be a good idea in certain job scope but there are definitely risk when comes to project management.

For critical time driven project with high cost impact, multi tasking due to multiple project handling could raise the risk. Eg missing or overlook of key task which can be disastrous at certain phase of project.

Eliminate this issue by identifying distracting task to be delegated to sub project lead & monitor the outcome. This definitely can be done aligning with the key stakeholder, as end in mind, for any project it is the success that counts.

Example of the issue in multiple project handling could occur, when there is additional problem that needs to be solved eg unexpected failure in module X failure , which needs to be solved to move on. The impact will be felt to other projects as the disruption has caused more time factored in to solve the problem with the technical groups.

The above situation needs additional support to ensure the affected project & the others are not impacted on the long run.

Managing a project is all about meeting the ultimate goal which has been underlined during it's inception, failure is not an option.
