*Learning at Work Week*
In the spirit of this week being exactly as the title suggests - a week to celebrate learning and being a learning professional myself it seemed only right I shared a little nugget of my own most valuable learning experience.
In February I undertook my Insights Discovery Accreditation to enable me to be able to come back into the organisation and deliver a variety of sessions using this tool having seen a number of these sessions run by colleagues and been hugely successfully here since its introduction into the organisation two years ago - I wanted to know so much more! In its simplest form it's a psychometric tool based on the psychology of Carl Jung and is used to help people understand themselves, understand others, and make the most of the relationships that affect them in the workplace. I spent four days with 14 other HR and L&D professionals where we deconstructed the model and witnessed it as delegates before building it back up from the position of the facilitator and delivering it ourselves. We also completed and received our own profiles and were able to relate our learning to our own self-awareness - a hugely eye opening experience.
Why was this the most impactful experience I've had to date? Honestly, I absolutely loved every second of it! It made me want to do more of that kind of work with people and just reinforced for me why I do what I do. And now I've come back into the organisation and have started delivering it with teams which I'm thoroughly enjoying. So enough from me, what's been yours? #curiousandcreative #learningatworkweek
