Infographic: The HP split

I grew up in New Hampshire (which was home to alot of Digital employees.

I watched Compaq acquire Digital (DEC) in 1998.

And the year before Compaq had purchased Tandem.

And then HP merge with Compaq in 2002.

So it's interesting to wax nostaglic and watch HP split into two firms and this infographic from the USA Today article was helpful in understanding the HP split.

And no post about HP can be complete without the birthplace of Silicon Valley

Thanks for the post, Rob. I was at DEC to start off my career. Hard to believe that once great company has been gone for decades now. Hoping this move bodes well for those from DEC folks that remain within each of the two "HPs."
