Getting rid of the Adobe Reader menu pane
Each time you open a pdf, there is an annoying menu pane on the right hand side, taking up screen space. You can get rid of it in two ways.
- Go to Edit > Preferences > Documents.
- Select the Remember current state of Tools Pane checkbox.
- Click OK, close the Tools pane and close Acrobat.
If that doesn't work, you can also remove the Tools pane from Acrobat completely.
- Go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\AcroApp\ENU.
- Create a subfolder, for example Disabled.
- Move Viewer.aapp to that folder.
If you ever need the menu again, move the file back before you open Acrobat.
