Feed the Keys
Florida Keys Relief
I don't normally use my LinkedIn network for things of this nature, but given the severity of the situation I felt it my duty to do just so. As some of you know, I volunteer my time and talents at an International Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Relief Foundation called the Coalition of Hope (www.coalitionofhope.org).
We have been asked by the Salvation Army and Red Cross, and are partnered with others, to provide mass feeding and supply distribution in Monroe County, Fl ("The Keys"). This will require, for at least 30 days and perhaps for as long as 90 days, 2 meals per day for up to 30,000 displaced residents, aid workers, power company line men, other volunteers and etc. 60,000 meals a day for 90 days, or 5,400,000 meals.
LinkedIn friends, we need help. Money, supplies, whatever you can give. Many of you are in positions of significance within your respective organizations and others of you may be in touch with sources of food supplies. Whatever your ability I ask you to lend your support. Serving those in need is truly the greatest blessing you can receive.

About Navillus Contracting http://navillusinc.com
In the aftermath of Superstorm Sandy in 2012, Navillus Contracting was the only private construction contracting volunteer organization to set up a disaster relief centre in the parking lot of Saint Francis de Sales church in Belle Harbor, one of the most devastated areas in New York City. This became the main shelter and distribution centre for the Rockaways over the coming months. All city agencies including FEMA, the National Guard and others utilized this centre during this period. The Navillus team worked tirelessly to provide aid for devastated individuals and families, through the creation of temporary shelter and a community centre environment, where hot meals and resources gave hope to those in need.
