As an Engineering Manager for Dasera, you will lead a team of engineers building world-class products with a focus on data lifecycle protection. Dasera engineers work on designing and delivering highly effective, scalable, and high-performance solutions required for the next generation of data protection.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for working with product managers in product definition, working with architects in product architecture design, and coordinating with other teams to build the complete solution.

• Successful candidates will have proven experience in delivering innovative, scalable, high-quality, resilient, and sustainable products to the marketplace.

• Manage high-profile talent, coach, mentor, and encourage growth and career progress of team members.

• Enable team to build and test high-quality designed web-based software, VM server software, and eventually a SaaS deployment of our solution.

• Establish best practices and code hygiene and security in software development.

• Determined, able, and ready to roll up sleeves to respond to the needs of customers proactively and promptly.

• Lead by example by delivering high-quality code.

• Achievement orientated and willing to take responsibility for own actions.

• Believe in innovation and out-of-the-box thinking to foster originality of ideas.

Job Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with 2+ years in a managerial role.

• Experience in managing high-profile talent across all levels.

• Ability to coach, mentor and encourage growth and career progress of team members.

• Strong programming skills in Java and ideally Scala.

• Architectural and design experience building scalable software and solutions on different platforms.

• Good understanding of relational databases, commercial relational databases, and public cloud platforms.

• Ability to suggest coding best practices and provide effective code review feedback.

• Extremely strong verbal and written communication skills. Communicate in an open, transparent, and consistent manner with the team and co-workers.

• Flexible in coordinating with global teams.

Education

• B.E /B.Tech /M.Tech degree from a recognized and accredited university/college
