Creating A Collaborative Team Of Problem Solvers - Interview with Tim Sanders

One of the things I love about my job as Director of Business Development at Vanderbloemen Search Group is that I get to host our Vanderbloemen Leadership Podcast where we interview thought-leaders on team building.

Most recently, I interviewed Tim Sanders, author of Love is the Killer App and Deal Storming

Here are some of the key takeaways I learned about team building and collaboration from talking with Tim:

  • Nice, smart people succeed.
  • Your network is your greatest net worth.
  • A problem well-defined is a problem half solved.
  • Tenacious problem solvers are web spinners. They find people that know something about the challenge, convince them to team up, have a series of meetings, and work together to find a solution.
  • A tenacious problem solver is ultimately a community builder.
  • A team is a group of a diverse perspectives that come together around a shared objective. It’s not a factory line.

I'm interested in the intersection of gigabit internet and rural ministries. These network maps may be of interest as you think about where people will be moving over the next little while (re-ruralling) http://blog.conmergence.com/network-maps/12/06/2016/
