CONNECT

Many people communicate, but few CONNECT.

If you want to be most effective, CONNECTING is the key. People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. (John Maxwell) I’ve learned that to facilitate my introduction to STORYTELLING.

But how to apply that to every day. It is a SIMPLE concept but I’m not naturally good at it. I probably miss it a lot because it is not where my attention naturally goes. I have to work at changing my TIMING for day-to-day interactions – CONNECT then get to it. Sounds so SIMPLE but I probably miss it more often than I do it.

I try to use all the words from the week at the end so what does this have to do with CHOCOLATES?  One of the things we have to do to promote DynaMed awareness is present at meetings via exhibit tables. But how do you CONNECT with people initially to get them interested at the table? I learned long ago that an assortment of high-quality CHOCOLATES will bring people to the table and have them pause long enough (while they try to pick what they want) that you get an opportunity to CONNECT.

Chocolate to connect...that is a good way of connecting for me..
