Certifications
Certifications!!!
In IT, where technology explosion is happening at a very rapid pace, the pressure to remain updated is high. Certification from vendors is the right way to do that, like Java certification from Oracle or Azure from Microsoft.
However, when we jump into a new field of learning like Cloud or No SQL DB or Dev ops, it is not easy to choose the right course nor is there a straight way to achieve that goal.
Everything is not bleak though. Online training portals like Udemy are quite helpful. These portals have devoted courses for popular certifications.
Do not fall for books, because these are rapidly changing courses and also involve hands-on practice. Go for online portals like udemy and find the related course.
However, choosing the course, you have to be careful. There will be many courses on the same topic like AWS solution architect, open shift admin etc. Choose the one with high rating or call your friends for help, who have done the certification. Randomly choosing a course can waste your money and time.

Also make a free account in vendor portal, all technology vendors Azure, AWS, openshift will let you create a free account to play with their products.
Complete all lectures of that course, it is a hard part and requires effort. Make notes, it is good to do labs also ,however depending on time , you may skip . But never skip lectures.
Now the last part, purchase the mock question sets. They too are available on Udemy etc. Once you start achieving the required score in those tests, block a date and clear the certification.
Do not purchase all the courses in one go. start with one course, then the trainer will keep sending you deals and updates.
Sometimes we do not get an immediate opportunity to work on the subject but when you do a certification, you learn about many new things, that you would not have otherwise noticed.
For me, in azure certifications I learnt about Active directory and load balancers apart from main cloud contents.
No go ahead and decide your next certification for upskilling. Happy learning!
