Being a Low Code Architect(Mendix)
I proudly call myself Low Code Architect since last 6 years and people wonder if I know how to code.
YES, I CAN! Every low code developer can code!
Low code is many a times mistaken as No Code. So, what are the differences in Full Code, Low Code and No Code?
I would say its like having a ride in Manual Car, Automatic Car or Self Driven Car. As Automatic cars also have gears like Manual cars with just enough automation to shift them automatically, Low code products as well has enough automation and in built features to improve the speed of development.
Moreover, what is code? A piece of logic. Every Microflow in a Mendix application allows you to write complex logic. So without having enough knowledge to build applications, you cant create good Mendix apps. What makes your life easy is every activity in a Microflow has inbuilt logic and all you need to know is how to connect them to make a logical flow. Connect your Microflow logic with a page and you have interacting pages with data. It works like wonder with Data, Logic, Security, UI and Deployment at just one place StudioPro .
So, in my opinion "A good Mendix Architect has Technical Expertise, Business Acumen, Adaptability, Analytical Thinking and Collaboration-Leadership Skills."
