BEGIN AGAIN
Time flies like an arrow. You could interpret that Engineering is so busy that students do not have much time to do other things. Well, it might be true in a few exceptional cases but let me tell you that it’s not the case for everyone. You do have a choice over your schedule here.
My first two years in the engineering was a truly life-changing experience and I have learnt plenty of new things believing those were the up to date topics the industry needed.
But I felt like beginning the engineer’s learning phase again. At this moment, I would like to share my current experience: As an innovative engineer trainee (soon to be fellow} at the FORGE Accelerator, whose vision is to build “a technologically literate society in which all Engineering students have equal access to the technology and hands-on skills, programs and resources that will enrich their education and allow them to successfully compete in the global workforce.”
Forge is providing me with intensive hands-on experience, much more than what I would have learned if I was studying in college. A practical work background carries a major significance in the Industrial 4.0 phase. The management has given me the freedom to pick and choose my projects with valid reasons and they have counted on me to deliver the final Minimum Usable Product(MUP). I am at the halfway mark of my training here and my project is entering the ideation phase. I am developing multi-skills to perform that end-to-end prototype and I am learning a new perspective about validating problem statements
With like-minded people the progress achieved is exemplary. You need the experience to get experience. They help me when I struggle with the tasks for my learning. Sometimes I feel guilty of taking away people’s time for my projects yet the expertise will ultimately lead me to the pinnacle I want to reach.
