Adaptive, Flexible and Interoperable Enterprise Digital Architecture for Digital Transformation (DX)

Digitalization aka Digital Transformations are rapidly getting focus in almost all Enterprises now a days in order to keep their organization smart and competitive. As part of these initiatives, this is also becoming very important for Enterprise Architects and technology leaders to quickly come up with new (Adaptive..?) Enterprise Architecture Methods that can easily factor new digital technologies like Artificial Intelligence, advance analytics, machine learning, big data, cloud solutions and the Internet of Things ( IoT) into digital apps. On the other hand, this is becoming extremely difficult for traditional EA frameworks like TOGAF to manage such an extreme spread of systems and technologies those are very volatile & agile in nature. Though frameworks like TOGAF are suggesting enterprise transformation, the focus is more on process standardization and integration, rather on continuous adaptation to the changing business and technological landscape. As a consequence, Enterprise Architects community are doing constant research to find out how to build micro-granular systems and services (part of mini Architecture) to accelerate digital transformation. And then integrating these micro-granular agile systems with original Enterprise Architecture models.

Other option is to look into some adaptive EA framework itself. Based on this school or modern EA communities, the EA methods and tools for DX ( Digital Transformation ) would be completely different from those of the traditional scope of EA. Hence the concept of adaptive EA in the context of Digital Transformation is evolving very first to support digital capabilities throughout the adaptive loop, providing a systematic means for early identification and fast response to important trends and events both inside and outside an enterprise.
