365DaysOfCode Journey (Milestone#2)

"It's not what we do once in a while that shapes our life, It's what we do consistently" - tony robbins

First of all, I would like to thank Scaler Academy and ScalerDiscord for providing us with this great opportunity.

It was the 10th of December when I started this journey. I already had specific goals in my mind that I wanted to achieve throughout this expedition. The primary Objective was getting a solid hold on Data Structure and Algorithms. For this, I put down weekly goals for myself-

  • First I'll pick a topic,
  • Second to thoroughly study it (from youtube tutorials and Articles),
  • Third to solve at least 3-to 4 ques daily regarding that topic until I won't be needing any help or hint in solving the questions from that particular category.

To implement this, I exclusively followed InterviewBit's Level based System, which has already categorized all the topics into different levels based on their difficulty.

  • I already had a pretty good hold on the initially listed topics here like Arrays, Maths, strings and Bit-Manipulations.

  • In the beginning, I wasn't sure if I'll ever be able to tackle these big topics, But I knew I had to get started somewhere.

  • Each following week I picked up diff topics and started solving 25-30 Ques from each.

  • Following this strategy, on the 6-7th week, I was finally able to solve many hard problems from advanced topics like Backtracking, Trees, & Dynamic Programming.

  • Now the final obstacle I've left to tackle is Graphs and to get an even stronger hold on Dynamic Programming (which I doubt I'll ever be able to get (;・∀・)).

And also I feel elated to share and compare the progress I've made throughout this venture

  • I've been able to solve 200+ DSA problems in 8 weeks.
  • There is a huge boost in my efficiency as I was able to achieve 4 times the score while solving only twice the questions as compared to my previous non-consistent ventures.

Throughout this journey, I've learned how fruitful and effective being consistent can be, and I hope to achieve more and more as I get closer to the end, It's my 2nd time taking upon a challenge like this, and this time I'll definitely see it through to the end.

Thank you

Great job!! I hope you achieve your end goal and upscale yourself each coming day ✨
