Here is a post on X highlighting a long-neglected challenge in specialty care. It regards the conundrum of transferring images and other clinical data between healthcare institutions. Fortunately, modern solutions now include AI chatbots that can speak with the "other side" to answer their questions and clarify that HIPAA doesn't give them an option to postpone the transfer. These systems not only help patients avoid the hassle but also free up clinicians so they can focus on delivering care rather than chasing down disks and urging radiology techs to push over the images.
