A handwritten digit classifier built from scratch using NumPy. The project focuses on understanding the core mechanics of a neural network by implementing the full pipeline directly, including forward propagation, ReLU, softmax, backpropagation, and gradient descent. It also includes training reports, experiments, inference, Docker, CI, and a small demo to make the workflow easier to run and inspect. Latest MNIST run reached 95.78% test accuracy. 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐛𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐬 Most people focus on clustering. But in single-cell RNA-seq, the most important decisions happen before that. This is a compact preprocessing workflow I use in Python → compute QC metrics including mitochondrial content → filter low-quality cells both lower and upper thresholds → normalize and log-transform expression → select highly variable genes → optionally reduce technical effects These steps might look simple but they define your outcome. Change your QC thresholds → your clusters shift Keep noisy cells → artificial structure appears Over-correct → real biology can disappear This is where analysis stops being just code… and becomes experimental design. #SingleCell #Bioinformatics #Python #ComputationalBiology #DataScience #Scanpy #MachineLearning #DataLensTools

This is incredibly cool: a theoretical physicist proved that you can recreate all math functions like +, -, x, / , trig, log from just one operation. E(a, b) = e^a - ln(b) What's more interesting is that the researcher used OpenAI's Codex to translate his Mathematica code to Rust allowing much faster experimentation. Scientists are usually very bad at high performance computing and often use things like Matlab or Mathematica which is easier to learn than C++ or Python. But now, suddenly all of them get access to these tools and although they still do the research, coding agents help them unlock much faster experimentation.

When will I ever use this Math in real life?📐 As a CS and Math student, I used to hear this a lot. But as I dive deeper into Python, I’ve realized that Math isn’t just a subject—it’s the source code of the universe. Lately, I’ve been using Python to automate complex trigonometric and probability problems from my A-Level past papers. The realization? Programming is just Math that does something. Whether it’s game physics or AI algorithms, the logic I’m learning in 9709 Math is the same logic I’m using to build functional scripts. Never skip the fundamentals. The "boring" stuff is what builds the most exciting tech. 🚀 #PythonProgramming #Mathematics #ALevels #CodingFundamentals #StemEducation

Predicting Academic Success with Machine Learning 🎓📊 I’m excited to share a project I recently completed: a Student Performance Predictor designed to help students understand how their habits impact their results. Using a dataset of study hours, sleep patterns, and past scores, I implemented and compared two models: Logistic Regression: Provided a solid baseline for binary classification. Random Forest: Leveraged ensemble learning to capture more complex patterns in the data. To make the insights accessible, I built an interactive UI using Streamlit, allowing users to input their data and see real-time predictions. Check out the demo below! 👇 #MachineLearning #DataScience #Python #Streamlit #PredictiveModeling #RandomForest #EducationTech
