Plot twist: I still write my code by hand. No AI. No Copilot. No Claude. Just me, the keyboard, and probably too much confidence. 😁 While others prompt, I type. While others wait, I’m already shipping. AI is powerful. No doubt. But if you can’t build it without the tool, you don’t really understand the problem. Tools speed you up. Understanding is what sets you apart. (At least for now.) #vibecoding #programming #softwareengineering #ai

Skill is getting an AI to build a feature. Taste is knowing if the feature should exist at all. I also use AI to write code. Sometimes, it copies patterns from old repos The code compiles. The tests pass. But the pattern is wrong for us. AI has no intuition. It has no scar tissue from past production incidents. It only knows patterns. Productive engineers have to bring the judgment. Stop treating AI output as a final draft. Treat it as a baseline to critique. Doing this takes more time upfront. The trade-off is that you ship less slop and prevent incidents later. ☝️ Read the full article to see how to prevent AI slop: https://lnkd.in/e_R-Z78T ♻️ REPOST to help someone today #softwareengineering #coding #programming

AI tools go down for 10 minutes… Suddenly, things shift. Let’s think about it” becomes a real strategy again. Documentation and fundamentals take center stage. Problem-solving moves back to first principles. It’s fascinating how quickly the narrative of “AI will replace developers” turns into “Let’s figure this out step by step.” A good reminder: The real strength has always been our ability to understand, reason, and solve. #AI #Programming #SystemDesign #DeveloperExperience

Me: AI, fix this one tiny bug 🤏 AI: Sure. Deletes structure Renames files Rewrites logic Starts a new architecture 💀 Why does this happen? Because sometimes AI doesn’t fix the bug… It fixes your entire life. Real developer move 👇 ✅ Give small context ✅ Ask for one change only ✅ Review every line ✅ Test before trust AI is powerful. But without direction… it’s just a confident intern with keyboard access 😭 The future won’t belong to developers who use AI blindly. It’ll belong to developers who know how to control it. AI coding — what’s changed? We’re shipping faster… but also risking to ship code that nobody truly understands. So the bar shifts: • Code reviews matter more than ever • Reading code is a core skill again • Critical thinking is your advantage AI can write solutions. It can’t carry your system’s history, trade-offs or certain informed decisions. One habit that helps: Ask the AI, “Why is this the best approach?” The answer often changes. Speed is easy now. Understanding is what sets teams apart. #ai #softwareengineering #programming #codereview #engineering #techleadership #developerexperience

Artificial Intelligence is reshaping how we build software but does that mean programmers are on the way out? The reality is more nuanced. AI is accelerating development, automating repetitive tasks, and redefining the role of developers not replacing them. The future belongs to those who can work with AI, not against it. Curious what this shift really means for developers and the tech industry? Not because coding is useless. But because it’s no longer the hardest part. AI can already write code in seconds. That barrier is gone. So where does value move? Not in writing code. In deciding what should be built. The real questions are: • What problem are we solving? • Why does it matter? • What does success actually look like? Because software was never limited by syntax. It was limited by clarity. AI can generate functions. But it cannot define intent properly. And that’s where human value now lives. #Programming #AI #FutureSkills

Before AI, coding was slower. You had to read, explore, break things, and debug to understand one problem. Now? You ask → get code → it works. Faster? Yes. But here’s the catch: It’s easier than ever to build something without actually understanding it. And that’s where problems begin. Because when things break in production, you’re on your own. I’ve started asking myself more often: 👉 “Do I understand this… or did I just make it work?” AI is powerful. But if we skip the thinking part, we’re just building faster… with weaker foundations. Speed is improving. Depth should not be optional #softwareengineering #coding #ai #developers #programming #learning #vibecoding

Developers are no longer just fixing their own mistakes. they are also interpreting AI-generated logic, which can sometimes be overly generic, slightly incorrect and hard to trace. But here is the deeper reality: 👉 AI does not replace developers, it shifts the skillset required. The best developers today are those who: 1. Know what to ask AI🤓. 2. Can review and validate code critically. 3. Understand system design and logic deeply. 💡Insight: AI makes bad developers faster…... and good developers unstoppable. #Softwaredevelopment #AIdevelopers #ArtificialIntelligence #Smartminds

🚀 Before AI vs After AI — Reality Check! We often say AI is making life easier… but is it really that simple? 🤔 Earlier: ⏳ Coding took hours 🐞 Debugging took even more Now: ⚡ Coding happens in minutes 🧠 But debugging? That’s where real skills are tested AI can generate code, but it still needs human thinking, logic, and problem-solving to make it work perfectly. 👉 The game hasn’t changed — it has evolved. 👉 Those who understand the fundamentals will always stay ahead. 💡 Lesson: Don’t just rely on AI, learn how things actually work. Because in the end — AI writes code, but YOU make it right. #AI #Coding #Developers #FutureSkills #TechReality #Learning #Growth #Programming #Debugging

If you never struggle with AI choosing poor designs, introducing bugs, using the wrong abstractions, or following its own confirmation bias, there are two possibilities: 1 - You are not qualified to review what the AI is doing. 2 - You haven’t used it enough! Asking the right questions is more important than ever today. Ask AI: - "Why did you choose to implement it this way?" - "What about this approach? I think it could be better." AI is not just a tool to increase task throughput. #IA #programming #qa
