I used to waste 3 hours writing ONE LinkedIn post. Now I create a week’s worth of content in 90 minutes. Here's my system ↴ When I started earlier, content creation was my biggest issue. I'd sit at my laptop for hours, staring at a blank screen, hoping inspiration would strike. Some days I'd write nothing. Other days I'd write something terrible and post it anyway. But after a lot of trial and errors I discovered this content creation framework, and everything changed. The 5-4-3-2-1 Content System: 📍 5 Content Pillars → Pick 5 themes you can talk about endlessly. (Mine: personal stories, client wins, strategy tips, industry insights, behind-the-scenes.) 📍 4 Content Formats → Rotate structures to keep posts fresh. - Transformation: “I went from X to Y, here’s how” - Framework: “Here’s my 3-step process for Z” - Mistake: “I used to do X, now I do Y” 📍 3 Hook Templates → Start strong every time. Time-based: “3 months ago, I…” - Result-based: “Here’s how I [achieved specific result]” - Contrarian: “Everyone says X, but here’s why Y works better” 📍 2 Call-to-Actions → End with engagement. - Question: “What’s been your experience with this?” - Challenge: “Try this and let me know what happens” 📍 1 Content Calendar → Batch create once a week. One post per pillar = 5 posts ready to go. The results of all these ? Consistent and valuable content that actually converts. While there’s a lot of great storytelling advice, I've found that most of it is actually pretty hard to apply to personal brand building through content. So, I've curated and created some of my own. After reading (mostly) all of the books and testing out all the frameworks, here are my personal top 5 favorites that work across social platforms to capture attention and build trust. 1. ABT (And–But–Therefore) A three-step rhythm that creates tension and resolution. When to use it: Hooks, thought leadership posts, pitches. Basic formula: This AND this… BUT here’s the problem… THEREFORE here’s the shift. 2. BAB (Before → After → Bridge) This one demonstrates the change that makes stories powerful. When to use it: Personal journeys, client results, sales content. Basic formula: Before X → After Y → Bridge: how it happened. 3. IAY (I And You) This one forces you to move from your story (“I”) to your audience’s world (“You”). When to use it: Relatable posts, connection-building. Basic formula: I [experienced]… You’ve probably [felt]… Here’s the truth/lesson. 4. QCQ (Quote → Context → Commentary). Or, as I like to call it, “Borrowed Thoughts.” This one gets you to pay attention to ideas and add your voice and unique perspective. When to use it: Thought leadership, sparking conversations. Basic formula: Quote → Context → My take. 5. LLM (Little Life Moments) This is how you turn everyday moments into insights. When to use it: When you need consistency and want to bring people behind the scenes into how you think or what you value. Basic formula: Zoom in on a detail → Reflect on what it means → Connect it to why it matters to your audience. This is just the quick version of these frameworks. Perspective Shift: Show Growth Demonstrate intellectual honesty by sharing how your thinking has evolved. This builds trust with professional audiences. Structure: "I used to believe [old perspective] until [specific event] completely changed how I think about [topic]. Here's what I understand now..." Apply These Frameworks Job Seekers: Demonstrate expertise and problem-solving to potential employers. Freelancers: Position yourself as a strategic partner by showing how you approach challenges. Leaders: Build authority by sharing real leadership lessons and evolved thinking. Creators: Establish credibility by sharing your expertise journey and how you help others. The Authenticity Factor The magic isn't in the framework—it's in authenticity. Your real experiences and genuine insights are more compelling than fabricated stories.
