Summary

Interactive video training solutions use videos that allow viewers to participate through quizzes, polls, clickable demos, and real-time conversations, making learning more engaging and memorable. These tools bridge the gap between watching and doing by prompting immediate action, feedback, or exploration within the video itself.

  • Encourage participation: Add clickable elements like quizzes, polls, and action buttons to prompt learners to respond and interact during training sessions.
  • Update content easily: Use platforms offering instant editing and automatic updates to keep training material current without lengthy re-recording processes.
  • Personalize learning: Incorporate AI-powered avatars and branching scenarios to tailor lessons to individual needs, creating a more dynamic and relatable experience.

Founder & CEO at Colossyan | Helping modern teams scale training with AI video & agentic content creation

I'll never forget the conversation that led to this feature. We were on a call with a sales enablement director from a Fortune 500 company. She'd just created her first interactive compliance video with Colossyan - branching scenarios, quizzes, the works. "This is incredible," she said. "But here's my problem: after they finish the video, I need them to sign an attestation form. Right now, they watch the training... then I have to send 47 reminder emails because they forget to go to the portal." We've heard variations of this same story dozens of times: "I need them to download the resource guide." "I need them to book their certification exam." "I need them to join the community workspace." The video ends. The intention fades. The action never happens. So we built action buttons. Now, the moment your AI avatar says "Here's your next step," a button appears right there in the video: → Link to forms → Schedule meetings → Download resources → Join channels No tab-switching. No memory required. Just immediate action. Here's what I'm learning as CEO: The best features aren't always the flashiest ones. Sometimes they're the simple bridges between learning and doing.

OK, I need to confess something: I'm usually that annoying person who rolls their eyes when someone gets hyped about new tech. "𝘉𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘭𝘦𝘮 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘵 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘷𝘦?" 🤓 (Yes, I'm fun at parties. No, I don't get invited to many.) But every once in a while, something comes along that makes even my skeptical brain short-circuit. Synthesia 3.0 just did exactly that. Remember, last month, I showed you Jennifer Aniston speaking Mandarin. https://lnkd.in/eetctzmG That was with Synthesia. What they just announced? Way bigger. 𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝟭𝟬𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀, 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝘁𝘄𝗼-𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. 𝘝𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘰 𝘈𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘵. Imagine ChatGPT grew up and got a face. Instead of typing, you're having a face-to-face conversation with someone who: → Listens and responds in real-time → Understands your business context → Shows relevant data and demos → Remembers everything (unlike me in meetings) Here's what this means: • Sales reps practice with AI that acts like that impossible client • Instant answers for new employees (bye 47-page docs!) • Personalized product demos • Compliance training that's actually engaging 🤯 But this is where it can get very interesting: Imagine rural students getting one-on-one tutoring, language learners practicing 24/7,  medical students rehearsing patient care. The numbers speak volumes: • $100M+ revenue in 8 years • 60,000+ customers globally • 70%+ Fortune 100 companies onboard • 9x better retention vs text Synthesia 3.0 upgrades: • Interactive: Embed polls, quizzes right in videos • Natural movement: Avatars that move like humans • Voice cloning: Keeps your accent and quirks • Translation: 140+ languages with perfect lip-sync I still believe in solving problems first. But when a tool makes one-way video interactive and accessible, even I have to admit: this is a game-changer. This isn't just better video. This is video growing a brain. So, over to you: What would you build first? Sales training? That compliance course everyone keeps "forgetting"? Drop your ideas below. I promise not to get too skeptical 😉 🔄 Repost if your team needs to see this 👉 Follow Rujuta Singh for more honest takes on technology https://lnkd.in/eAd6Rx98

Getting a lot of questions about Interactive Demos since we launched this week, so figured I'd share what I'm learning as we go 👇 The thing that surprised me most in our research: they perform 7x better than videos 🔥 Honestly didn't expect the gap to be that dramatic. Here's what I realized about video's limitations: 🥱 Passive learning - easy to zone out and hard to internalize what we're seeing ⏩ One speed throughout - some parts need more attention than others, but we can't control pacing 📏 Linear format - hard to branch deeper into topics or track engagement differences Interactive Demos solve these problems and more...here's the breakdown: 🤨 What are they? "Captures" (screenshots, videos, HTML) that can be annotated and embedded anywhere 🎥 How do you make one? Record your screen showing a feature or flow (like Loom), then tools like Chameleon handle the rest ✨ Are they AI-powered? Yes - Chameleon automatically creates annotations, splits into chapters, and generates messaging content from your recording 🗺️ When and where can I use them? - Marketing pages: deeper feature exploration - User onboarding: visual how-to guides - Empty states: show what "populated" looks like - Enablement: team updates and training - Support: visual answers to common questions 🤔 Why are they better than video? Users must click to progress, forcing engagement and better retention. Plus you can track progress, offer different paths, and include CTAs 🦎 How are Chameleon's Interactive Demos different? We're focused on driving actual product adoption, not just engagement metrics. Track visitors into your product as users, target them in-app based on demo activity, sync styling between demos and in-app campaigns 💵 What's the pricing? Some tools require sales calls and annual commitments. Chameleon has a generous free plan so you can start experimenting immediately 😉 Is there a catch? Free demos include a small watermark (helps us generate awareness) and don't include AI features 🎧 Is this for marketing or product? Both - user onboarding is shifting left ⬅️ and happening outside the product. Product teams should definitely have this in their toolkit 💬 More questions? I'm genuinely curious what others are seeing with interactive vs. video content -- DM me or drop thoughts below! And if this was helpful, sharing helps other product folks discover this shift 💚 More here: https://lnkd.in/eRGQw9Va
