And it's not about budget size, team experience, or even market position. Trait #1: They Test Their Assumptions, Not Their Opinions Most companies test what they think will work. Successful ones test what they're uncertain about. They'd rather be proven wrong quickly than right slowly. Trait #2: They Optimize Systems, Not Pages While others obsess over changing this and that on a page, winning companies focus on entire conversion ecosystems. They understand that checkout optimization is useless if your pricing page confuses visitors. Trait #3: They Measure Revenue Impact, Not CVRs Successful companies don't celebrate conversion rate increases. They celebrate revenue increases. A 50% boost in conversions doesn't always translate to a 50% increase in revenue. The companies that struggle do the opposite. They test based on hunches, optimize in isolation, and measure the wrong metrics.
