Here is how to fix that. STEP 1: BUILD YOUR OPERATIONS FLOW MAP Before you score anything, map how your facility runs. Raw material in, finished product out. → Receiving → storage → mixing/batching → production line → packaging → finished goods → shipping Now mark every asset that touches that flow. Compressors, conveyors, chillers, boilers, air handlers. Ask one question: if this fails right now, what stops? → If the line stops = critical path → If a parallel line covers = important but not critical → If nobody notices for a week = run to failure This is your operations flow map. It takes half a day and changes how you maintain the facility. STEP 2: SCORE CRITICALITY ON 4 FACTORS For every asset on your flow map, score it 1-5 on: → 🛡️ Safety: Does failure create a hazard?
