Compliance benchmarking services help organizations measure how their policies and practices align with regulatory standards by comparing them to established benchmarks. This process is crucial for companies aiming to meet legal requirements and improve trust and transparency, whether in areas like federal regulations, AI governance, or financial controls.

  • Document your process: Keep a detailed record of every step and decision made during benchmarking to build a clear audit trail for future reviews.
  • Map requirements: Match regulatory guidelines to specific technical or operational criteria so you can gauge where your organization meets or falls short of compliance.
  • Compare and adjust: Use benchmarking reports to review your current strategies and identify areas where improvements or changes are needed to keep pace with evolving standards.

HMRC's benchmarking standards: Are you ticking all the boxes? HMRC published a very useful (and in some sense unique) document called "Help with common risks in transfer pricing approaches — GfC7" - which is essentially a practical TP policy design, OTP and compliance guide for businesses. Everyone should read it (not just UK folks). Let's look into what HMRC thinks a good benchmarking study is: 1. Each benchmark should follow a well-documented process. It's not only about the outcomes but also about the steps and substantiation of these steps! 2. A clear audit trail of search criteria - why were they applied? What were the results? 3. Detailed steps showing how comparables were reviewed, accepted, and rejected, including clear explanations for judgments and positions taken (!) 4. Tables detailing the accept or reject criteria for each potentially comparable entity 5. References to sources used to form judgments (including websites) We can conclude that HMRC expects high-quality, detailed benchmarks that are very well documented. This means rejection reasons often found in benchmarks, such as "different function—reject!" with a generic reference to the website's home page, will no longer cut it.

LatticeFlow Takes the Lead in Benchmarking Big AI for EU AI Act Compliance I often get asked by CEOs how they can measure compliance to the EU AI Act. As AI regulation heats up, LatticeFlow AI is stepping in with the first comprehensive framework designed to benchmark Large Language Models (LLMs) for compliance with the EU AI Act. This framework addresses the growing need to assess the trustworthiness of AI systems, particularly as governments and organizations seek more transparent, accountable, and ethical AI. LatticeFlow’s approach offers a much-needed solution, mapping the principles of the EU AI Act to specific technical requirements, and providing an open-source benchmark suite. This marks a significant move towards ensuring that AI systems meet the high standards of safety, fairness, and transparency required by these new regulations. The framework also exposes gaps in some of the leading LLMs, revealing shortcomings in areas such as cybersecurity resilience and bias reduction. This initiative highlights the pressing need for AI systems to not only perform well but also operate responsibly—critical as the world increasingly relies on AI-driven technologies in healthcare, finance, and more. As more AI regulations emerge, tools like LatticeFlow’s will be crucial in helping companies align their AI models with global standards. 💼 Now is the time to ensure your models are trustworthy and compliant with upcoming regulations. https://latticeflow.ai/ #AI #LLMs #Compliance #EUAIAct #AIRegulation #TrustworthyAI #EthicalAI

I’ve spoken to about 100 clients this month about CMMC. A-LIGN has interviewed over 1,000 organizations over the last year. The patterns we’re seeing are consistent, and they signal a major shift in how companies are preparing for federal compliance and CMMC. Today, we’re releasing the 2026 Compliance Benchmark Report, which captures these trends at scale and provides a clear view of how leading teams are approaching CMMC and federal compliance. 🔗 https://lnkd.in/ejfb98NR A few data points stood out to me: 1. 87% of organizations pursuing CMMC expect to begin assessments within the next six months (momentum). 2. Teams consistently prioritize quality, federal experience, and the ability to start quickly when selecting a C3PAO (value). 3. The most mature orgs are shifting toward continuous evidence and audit harmonization to reduce rework and stay ready (tech enabled). If you're building or refining your 2026 compliance strategy, the full report offers a helpful benchmark to compare plans, timelines, and operating models. It's a must read for any compliance focused executive. If you’re interested in what’s possible for your 2026 compliance strategy, feel free to reach out. #CMMC #federalcompliance #C3PAO #defenseindustrialbase #complianceleadership Elizabeth Strickert Patrick Sullivan
