Win With Tech

This is Win With Tech, a series that cuts through the noise and shows you exactly how businesses are using technology to work smarter.

Practical, product-agnostic, and always worth the read

A day in Rachel’s life:

Rachel's a sharp operator, great at her job. But until recently, part of her week looked like this:

  • Pull up a client update
  • Copy the message from here
  • Paste it there
  • Tweak it slightly for this person
  • Send it manually
  • Repeat… for every single client, at every single stage
  • Realize at 4pm that she hadn't eaten lunch

By the time she was done, Rachel wasn't managing client relationships. She was a human copy-paste machine running on no food.

Win With Tech:

Now imagine the same updates going out automatically, triggered the moment a contract is signed, a device ships, or a milestone hits. No copy-pasting. No chasing. Just the right message, to the right person, at the right time. And lunch at an actual lunch hour.

🧑💻 The Nerdy Corner:

What’s really happening behind the workflow

Behind that "set it and forget it" is a simple chain working together:

  • A trigger event fires (contract signed, equipment shipped, onboarding complete)
  • A workflow tool queues the right email template
  • The message goes out to every stakeholder who needs to know
  • Everyone stays on the same page,  without anyone manually looping them in

Result: Rachel doesn't chase updates, rewrite the same email for the fifth time, or wonder if someone got left out of the chain. And if Teams can notify your whole team the second something happens, your client comms can do the same.

⚡ Quick Win of the Month

The compound interest of automation

Rachel put it best: once you get one workflow humming, it buys you time to fix the next thing. Then the next. Then the next. It's not a one-time win, it's compound interest on your focus. Start with the easiest thing to automate. Let that pay off. Then keep going.

(And yes, Rachel now eats lunch before 4pm. That's a real metric.)
