A willingness to fail

Whatever you do, do it with a willingness to fail.

Embrace the possibility of faillure in light of your search for that one brilliant insight.

Accept the option that your explanation is lost initially when you try out that new storyline for the first time

Understand that, although you take a risk to fail, you also take a chance to delight, to inspire, and to find truly new insights...

..that will be remembered.

Work, and certainly learning is an infinite game; the objective is to stay in the game; you can't win it (as success would suggest) and you cant actually fail, unless you drop out of the game. So absolutely, keep trying stuff, keep learning & if you aren't failing a bit you aren't trying hard enough As Baz Lurhmann (Mary Schmitt?) Once said: Sometimes you're ahead, sometimes you're behind. The race is long and, in the end, it's only with yourself. Maybe Rake said it best tho: There is no struggle too vast, no odds too overwhelming, for even should we fail - should we fall - we will know that we have lived.

Fail fast and learn from it, no point being frightened.
