Wildflowers
Some of you may know I LOVE to ride vintage motorcycles. But instead of riding with a group of 100 enthusiasts to St Albans in NSW on Saturday, I went to an event by International Justice Mission to support my wife’s passion, the fight for justice against human trafficking.
At first I thought “What am I doing here? This is too much at the end of a long week in the office.” But as I heard about what IJM are doing around the world, giving a voice, rescuing and supporting through the legal system those who cannot fight for themselves, I finally understand why this is so important to Belinda.
Here she is with Jeff, interim Chief Executive of International Justice Mission, Australia, at their annual Australia Gathering over the weekend, praying for justice in the fight against human trafficking across our planet. We also met Jesse, Director of IJM Philippines, who flew in for the occasion. What a day, what an incredible way to meet such inspiring people on the ground! If anything, this actually revitalised me and gave me a new way of thinking about how I can make a difference in my workplace.
What a wonderful thing to do. The world is a better place knowing that there is an organisation with helpful people like Belinda that care what is happening.
