Why in the world would you go to WORLD?

For many of my customers, going to MicroStrategy World is an annual affair. For those of us who have done this for many years, the benefits of attending are generally obvious and there is always a golden nugget or two that can be mined from the conference. It is a reunion of sorts among customers, employees, former employees who are with customers, customers who joined partners, industry analysts and everyone else who makes up the intelligent, distinctively unique, global MicroStrategy ecosystem.

MicroStrategy practitioners have always been different; they think different. They tackle the largest analytical challenges and solve for the most complex use cases.

They are deliberate, yet they think big, go big and break glass. They are accomplished and innovative. They come with a world view and they have vision. 10 years ago they delivered analysis applications on top of the largest data warehouses in the world, they were the first to build immersive and intelligent Mobile applications for 10's of thousands of field workers and executives and today they are dipping into Data Lakes and other new data sources to expose visually engaging, self-service applications that are created by budding business analysts. In 2019, they will be dealing out HyperCards that extend embedded and contextual zero-click insight to everyone with a browser.

Sure, there will be product sessions and new features and functions in Phoenix. We might see a performance or two onstage in addition to the standard morning keynotes and afternoon track sessions. There will be the obligatory conference party and vendor booths with glittering yo-yos for the kids. However, the most important tangible takeaway is something that I've only ever seen achieved at World.

There is something very healthy and transformational that happens when you remove yourself from the office, travel across the country, set down the phone and participate in sessions with your Business, IT and Executive partners.

As a byproduct of conference sessions, coordinated lunches, Executive Forums, dinners and maybe a few drinks, I've facilitated conversations that change the course of entire programs, galvanized alignment between Business and IT factions, generated the next area of innovation for the coming year, or simply afforded a sanity check in the evolution of an initiative. The experience can be both therapeutic and extraordinarily productive.

However, the depth and entirety of this experience only happens once a year.

Yes, there will be a lot of emphasis on Hyper and all the new bells that come in the highly anticipated MicroStrategy 2019 Platform release. Hyper is compelling and it truly changes the consumption paradigm, but...

...come because you want to take advantage of the best opportunity all year to meaningfully engage with your team and forge new ideas about how to truly change the game in 2019.

Register today! Looking forward to getting Hyper with you in the desert!
