Voice Formulation in physiological aspect
How to formed speech?
Lungs produce airflow and air pressure, which is to create a vibration using Vocal Cords. Vocal Cords produce audible sounds. Laryngeal muscles control the length and tension of the vocal cords to produce a sound of a particular tone and pitch.
According to wikipedia article an adult male voice pitch is 85Hz to 180Hz and Female voice pitch is 165Hz to 255Hz. Speech formed by a combination of tongue, mouth and lips all working together to control the flow of air and the sound of the vocal cords.
What does sound energy travel?
Sound energy travel using sound waves. There are two types of sound waves.
- Transverse waves (Use in solid)
- Longitudinal waves (Liquid and air)
Since we use air to make sound, that’s why speech is longitudinal in nature. When we speak out, it’s formed of different pattern of frequency. That sound frequency use the layer of air. Each layer of air is made up the tiny particles. The sounds travel from one to another of using layers of air. Every frequency pattern made up by compression(High Pressure) and rarefaction(Low pressure).
1 wave
=1 Compression + 1 Rarefaction
= 1 High pressure + 1 Low pressure
= 1 hill + 1 valley
How to hear ear?
When the sound frequency hit the Eardrum, eardrum is a very delicate piece of tightly stretched skin. Which make a vibrate like an actual drum. The vibrating eardrum shake the tiny chain of three bones. The three bone call Ossicle. The voice goes through the ossicle it travels to the Cochlea.
Cochlea is formed with small circular tube and filled with liquid. The vibration through the ossicle create a wave in cochlear fluid. This process convert the sound vibration into the liquid vibration. The cochlea consist with many hears. When the liquid move to the cochlea, the tiny heirs move. Which is create nerves signals. Which is go through the auditory nerves into the brain. The brain processed the sound as we can hear.
