Value engineering and value analysis are two important concepts in the field of engineering that help engineers optimize costs and enhance the overall effectiveness of their designs. Value Engineering (VE) is a systematic approach used to identify and analyze various components of a project in order to increase its value. The main objective behind both VE and VA is always finding ways to add more value while keeping expenses low throughout each phase from planning up until the completion stage. Engineers utilize these techniques during all stages of projects such as feasibility studies; conceptualization; planning; detailed engineering design; procurement; construction supervision as well as post-construction phases like commissioning operations & maintenance etcetera.
