REVOLUTIONIZING THE FUTURE OF THE CLOTHING INDUSTRY WITH 3D PRINTING

Here at Uotton, we have gathered a great team of people all unified by one main goal- to create a platform that will revolutionize retail as we know it.

The clothes that we wear today have undergone immense changes throughout history, from tailors working day and night to create the most beautiful garments for Patricians in ancient Rome to the first industrial revolution and finally to the start of mass manufacturing that we know today. Clothes have made history, influenced the greatest artists of all time and even impacted religion among other things. Moreover, now it is making its impact on modern innovations and technologies as well.

Fun fact- a similar tendency can be seen in my family history. My grandfather was a tailor making dresses for women and suits for men in my hometown Kaunas (Lithuania) during the interwar period. Then there was my father who right after Lithuania reclaimed its independence built a medium size factory that manufactured clothes. I, on the other hand, went as far away as I possibly could further from the clothing industry and founded the Phantom Group company that developed software for 3D printers. You would assume it was an industry as far away from the clothing industry as it gets, right? Not exactly. Ironically life similarly to clothing comes full circle. I too came back with an aim to revolutionize the clothing industry as we know it.

3D printing first caught my attention back in 2013 during my visit to Silicon Valley. In Noisebridge (also known as Hackerspace) I had an opportunity to try out the 3D printing technology. However, I was a bit disappointed that such great technology did not fulfill its full potential at the time. I saw much more significant potential in the technology. Moreover, 3D printing successfully survived its first wave in 2009-2014 and is now ready for a second wave. The time is now for 3D printers to become a commodity in every home or at least in every corner store.

I am proud to introduce to you Uotton-  a platform that creates a bridge between premium outfit designers and the Asian market of 3D printing and blockchain. As soon as a couple of years from now every single one of you will be able to buy clothes, shoes, jewelry, and accessories online and get it printed in an area of your choice. People create e-wallets using blockchain, but I can’t help to wonder if this is what this fascinating technology of blockchain is all about? Or is it a perfect gateway to a vast amount of business and innovation possibilities. The Uotton platform will serve as your e-closet. Do you need to fly from Hong Kong to Los Angeles? Just transfer your bought Uotton tokens to a service provider in LA and get your outfit when you arrive. No heavy luggage, no bags full of clothes- no hassle! Just grab your laptop, your phone and other essentials you may need and enjoy the 13-hour long flight. Hopefully, that's going to change soon too, Elon Musk!

To summarize I would just like to state that Back to the Future and Marty Mcfly ain’t got nothing on us.
