Summer thoughts

Summer thoughts

It finally happened. After approximately 762 consecutive cold, rainy days here in New England the weather has finally changed. Warm, sunny days are here and in the forecast for the forseeable future. It was already 80 degrees when I took my morning walk this morning, and all I could think was "It finally feels like summer!"

It's time for all those great summer things: barbecues, graduations, golf trips, long weekends at the beach house, contract CNC Swiss engineering services....

(sound of squealing brakes)

Wait.

What????

Did I lose some of you on that last one? Sorry. Let me back up and explain.

This is the time of year when normal, rational human beings want to take time out of work. They've been working hard all year, and the weather has turned nice and there's lots of stuff to do. Everyone tries to take some time out of work between Memorial Day and Labor Day, right?

Swiss machinists and programmers are no different. These guys want to get out of the shop as badly as anyone else. Who can blame them?

The challenge for a lot of machine shops is "How do we keep making parts when our programmer is sitting on a beach somewhere with his phone turned off (if he's smart)?"

That's where Blackstone Swiss Engineering comes in. BSE can provide programming services for your CNC Swiss machines to keep you up and running and making parts even though your programmer has lost his phone in the surf and your manufacturing engineer is camping in the mountains somewhere. Using state of the art CAM software and relying on over 20 years' of Swiss machining experience, BSE can help make sure you don't miss a beat while your staff is enjoying some well earned time off. Give us a call at 401-480-6824 or check out the website www.blackstoneswiss.com

Happy Summer (finally)
