I’ve been living in a world where “code” means blue and adrenaline, not Python scripts and APIs. A plot twist and, of late, while diving into the latter, honestly? I’ve been missing out on a whole vibe.

Here’s the tea: Python isn’t just for hoodie-wearing hackers or Silicon Valley bros.

Python is basically the Gen Z of programming languages—simple, readable, and always down to collab. It reads like plain English, so even if you’re not a “techie”, you can actually get it.

Why a medic would care?

• Every patient file, every smart monitor, and every AI-powered diagnosis tool is running on code. If you’re not peeking under the hood, you’re just vibing on the surface while the real power moves happen in the background.
• Python’s got libraries for days: want to analyse patient data? There’s Pandas. Predict disease outbreaks? Scikit-learn. Automate boring admin? Python scripts got you. It’s like having a virtual intern who never sleeps.
• You don’t have to become a full-stack dev-- Not me, at least. But knowing how code works means you can actually lead digital change, not just watch it happen. Imagine being the doc who bridges the gap between clinical smarts and tech wizardry—now that’s a slay.

Gen Z’s approach to coding is all about vibes, memes, and making tech human again. We’re not here for endless debugging or rigid rules—we want tools that work with us, not against us. “Vibe coding” is a thing now: spontaneous, aesthetic, and gloriously unstructured. It’s less about memorising syntax and more about letting AI and intuition do the heavy lifting. Why struggle with flowcharts when you can just ask an AI to “make a funky to-do app with pastel colours” and watch it manifest?

Shoutout to my dear friend who literally LOL’d when I told him I’m picking up coding. “Bro, why bother? AI’s gonna do all the coding for us soon anyway!” he said. But here’s the plot twist: AI might write the code, but it takes a doc who gets both medicine and tech to ask the right questions.

“Technology is waiting for healthcare to take advantage of it… The best people to make choices would be doctors who also understand how machines work.”
