Simple but powerful analysis
This is my first post. To date I have been reticent as much of what we do is for clients across the NHS and some of it is important, some high profile and pretty well all of it confidential.
Today though I am very much looking forward to going to the Houses of Parliament for the launch of the Futureversity 2016 Impact report. Futureversity are a small charity who run a range of programs for young people. This report evaluates the impact of their 2016 summer program.
They collected data before and after the program and were a bit stuck as to what to do with it. A colleague in another part of Methods Group asked if we could help, and I agreed we could support with some free time to help them collate and analyse the data they had gathered.
This is simple analysis. That is the beauty. It is not complex statistics, it is not fancy modelling, it is not anything fashionable using relatively meaningless terms like "big data". It doesn't need to be. The evidence speaks for itself.
