SIM Seattle Relaunch

SIM Seattle Relaunch

Hello Seattle Tech Community -

We are fortunate to live and work in a hotbed of technology, and there are many strong organizations that support technology leaders in Seattle.

Seattle SIM is one of the groups that has played a strong role in Seattle for many decades- running hundreds of events, conferences, and outings for technology leaders across the pacific northwest. Over the years, SIM has evolved with the market, moving beyond traditional IT, and expanding membership to all technology leaders.

Updated Mission

I recently had the pleasure of taking on the president role for the chapter here in Seattle, working with a great team to drive and define the next stage of our evolution. To support that evolution, we are relaunching SIM with a simple mission:

“SIM Seattle is focused on developing technology leaders, through education and peer collaboration.”

Going forward, we will focus our efforts on leaders whose teams are delivering technology solutions that benefit their business and/or their customers. We will support leaders who are looking for opportunities to help them grow their careers and their leadership capabilities.

Updated Programs

To deliver on our commitment, Seattle SIM is revamping our program strategy to bring you compelling and informative learning journeys. These programs will encompass leadership, strategy, and technology, addressing the facets faced by technology leaders today. We will continue to deliver these programs via our monthly forum, where leaders come together for relevant discussion, learn from guest speakers, and share experiences amongst peers.

Going Forward

Over the next month, we will send out more information about our mission and programs, and revamp our various sites. In the meantime, I would ask for your feedback around how we can improve SIM, and also get your support in spreading the word. Strong members are the lifeblood of SIM, and we are excited to have more passionate leaders join our group.

If you would like a sneak preview of our in-flight changes, please join us for the season kick-off meeting, this Wednesday, the 18th, at 530pm. We will further explore our planned changes for SIM and expand the discussion to the wave of digital transformations taking place across industries. More information can be found here-

Thank you for your support
