A warm invitation from the organising team

Many of you have already marked your calendars, and we can’t wait to welcome you when tickets go on sale in March. In preparing this conference we kept close to a simple, powerful idea shared by Maryse Barak, a Time to Think faculty member:

Everyone who wishes to attend should feel that they truly matter in every interaction with us.

Her words inspired us to design activities and invitations that put that feeling at the heart of the day. Below is what we have planned so far, and we would love your input on how we can make every participant feel valued.

·       One-to-one thinking sessions for anyone wanting an introductory or refresher experience ahead of the day

·       Pre-conference gathering for anyone wanting a chance to prepare and connect beforehand

·       Clear, attractive sharing of our principles and expectations

·       A Thinking Environment in practice, embodying the ten components that nurture thoughtful dialogue

What would make you feel that you matter? How can you help us ensure that everyone else feels the same?

About the conference

Thinking Environment in Higher Education: A Day of Practice and Discovery invites you to explore how Nancy Kline’s Thinking Environment can reshape academic spaces, unleash creative, collaborative thinking and foster a culture where every voice is respected.

Very soon we will publish the full programme, which includes a host of exciting sessions and opportunities to contribute. If you have ideas or would like to be involved, please get in touch.
