Role Playing in the PMO

Role Playing in the PMO

What is your job title?  Does it accurately reflect what you do?  Is it one of the 'standard' job titles found in PMO text books?

There are a variety of job titles used within PMOs, often used differently within organisations let alone across different organisations.  How on earth can we attract and recruit the right people or market and differentiate ourselves in the market place with this level of ambiguity? At the next Birmingham PMO Flashmob we'll be sharing our understanding and experiences of Role Playing (and no doubt lots of other related subjects) over a few drinks and nibbles.

If you work in and around PMOs, come and meet your fellow PMO colleagues on 2 July and join in the conversation.  Click HERE for details on locations and timings.

I shan't be at the Birmingham PMO Flashmob - it's our 27th wedding anniversary and if I attended then PMOs would be all I have left in my life. One role that I think is badly named is planner (and we're hiring some at the moment if anyone is interested!). Too many of the planners that I see are nothing of the sort - they are not planners they are schedulers. A planner is so much more.
