Reflections
Reflection is something I have needed to do lately and so, although it has been a bit bumpy I am glad i did some level of introspection at least now. Ive embarked on my journey a while ago but I’m quickly learning some ins and outs.
Bhutan is a country of tradition and culture that spellbound every visitor. It is bliss to blow away one’s mind with its tranquil monasteries, mystical mountains, non-polluted ambiance and peaceful serenity, not to forget the most beautiful natives of the land, the people of Bhutan.
Isn’t it our desire to create a magical place, a sanctuary of sorts and to be at a spot where you can wake up early, hike the gorgeous landscape to reach the Tiger’s Nest, feel alive in every breath you take, admire the countless distinctive & historical dzongs or simply enjoy mother nature at its best. And at night, blissfully settle into a cocoon & journey into the depths of siesta, that’s what this land of thunder has to offer us. Every place you see in this pristine part of the world is as though, i’m caught up in some magic time machine fitted fantastically with a reverse, flung back across the centuries into the feudalism of a medieval age. Bhutan is a place blessed with an almost magical power to transform the mind .
Saying no more, as this is a place best experienced.
The earlier thought about the ins and outs of Life’s countless mysteries, is a bit hard for me to rationalize easily and validate ways like a Buddhist monk but sometimes, it’s also about being whimsical & consciously true to the moment. It’s about accepting the glorious mess that you are and transforming future thoughts. After all Buddhism teaches us “The way is not in the sky. The way is in the heart.”
Whether it’s myth or manipulation, Gross National Happiness is a great philosophy of life and a fact I wish we all adopt soon enough, well maybe yesterday itself!
The world has few secrets left, and Bhutan is definitely one of them!
👍👍👍
Wow
Nice write up.. I recommend you to visit northeast India, just 1 state at time. A 10 day trip would give a deja vu of Bhutan sans the abundance of monasteries but filled with Nature and most importantly tranquility!
