Quantum summer...

Winter is over, spring is coming. Sprint is already here, and summer is coming. ☀️🏝 And, with the melting ice we will leave our camp which we called home for several weeks now. We are nice guys, aren't we? And therefore, before leaving the camp site, we will clean up the area.

And as everyone knows, tedious working is easier and faster if it is accompanied by some nice music or podcasts.

Quantum Computing

Yes, as you maybe have already guessed, it is about #quantumcomputing. EPiQC is a "multi-disciplinary collaboration across 5 universities, led by the University of Chicago, that spans algorithms, software, and physical machines.". It contains not only introductory material, but also a full lecture series starting from what qubits, explanations on how to optimize for specific hardware and of course quantum algorithms.

And what I haven't checked until today:

• This expedition into QC is lead by Fred Chong, who is also Chief Scientist at ColdQuanta, probably the company producing the coldest place in the whole universe. 🥶
• And one very well-known person is part of the journey as well, Peter Shor. 😱

Noisy Intermediate-Scale Podcast

This one hosted by Michał Stęchły is about quantum computing and more and airs rather sporadically, but still has some interesting guests showing up and topics varies from quantum software engineering (episode 1), climate change (episode 2) and education (in episode 5). I hope there will be more in the future, I like the casual way of talks.

I think this is enough content for the work ahead of us. Let's see what I can provide after this exhausting task.
