Project-based learning is an approach for the students by giving them an opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge through engaging projects which is challenging and problematic in a practical manner. It provides them more experience and the idea to face problems by making decisions. Working in a project encourages the students to actively participate and explore the real-world problems and challenges which help them to acquire deeper knowledge. A project- based work helps the students to work by focussing on the project goal as a team with an efficient plan or strategy organised to find a solution for the project problem.

Elements of a Project

A project consists of a goal study, designing the project study and good teaching practices.

Steps in doing Project:

1.    Identifying the challenges and problems of an organisation.

2.    Bringing up an efficient strategy of work.

3.    Collecting relevant data related to the subject topic.

4.    Analysing and interpreting those data for investigating the challenge

5.    Finding the correct measures to be taken for solving the issue or improving the working.

 

Objectives of Project-Based Learning

Project-based learning provides commitment and interaction with the learning content which encourages high standard thinking and decision-making skills. It allows a person to implement their own capabilities by working independently. It also helps in developing the skill of team working and group skills. Increased student motivation and engagement enhances the student performance.

Role of Project Manager

Project Manager plays an important role in a project. They implement a set of standards for the working of a student. Manager directs the students by connecting the activities in the project and assesses these activities of the students. This evaluation prepared by an experienced person provides students with innovative and efficient insights which could be implemented in their way of doing project. Manager guides the students if any inappropriate decisions are made. They are required to maintain the decorum of the institution, also ensuring that these projects are on time, in budget and goal oriented.
