PRODUCING
A year ago today I shared “6 easy tricks that will make you more PRODUCTIVE”. I think I am still doing most of them most of the time, though avoiding multitasking is often a challenge. (The mind wanders…)
With a goal of PRODUCING one must focus on the result. The end may not justify the means (byproducts are part of the result and we do not want harmful byproducts), but the end should GUIDE the means.
To focus on the result and not just the methods I thought of the ABC’s of productivity:
Activity is not accomplishment. Busyness is not business. Contemplation is not completion.
This week I have been active, busy and contemplating many far-reaching developments. Now we need to see how each of these will be PRODUCING results:
· Consideration of DECISION QUALITY as a key quality indicator for health care services (Much of what we pay for in fee-for-service evaluation and management services is support for individualized healthcare decision-making) and exploring ways to test direct changes to defining the service in fee-for-service health care financing
· CONJOINING the two leading services for systematic monitoring and validation of clinical evidence
· Defining a common pathway for expressing the CERTAINTY OF NET EFFECT to provide clearer expressions of the confidence in recommendations
