Performance Portability in the Cloud

Today in a Cloud environment portability is crucial, and for some applications so is performance across variable environments. Performance portability means that the same application will run efficiently on a variety of different architectures. This portability becomes paramount in certain high performance conditions, especially in the Cloud. In Evans Data's most recent Cloud Development survey we asked developers which use cases most typically require performance portability. A large group said those that involve multiple types of data are the primary use cases while others identified real time event processing.
